These events are designed to bring joy, comfort, and support to the children and families we serve, especially those who have lost a parent due to incarceration or death. Your continued support is crucial in making these initiatives a success, and we are grateful for your unwavering dedication.

Fall Trunk or Treat

October 19, 2024

We are thrilled to announce our annual Fall Trunk or Treat event, scheduled for October 19th. This beloved event is a highlight of the year for the children we serve, providing a safe and festive environment for trick-or-treating.

  • Location: 2540 North Galloway Ave., Mesquite, Texas 75150

Families and volunteers will decorate their vehicles and fill their trunks with candy and treats for the children. The event is free for all participants, and we encourage everyone to come in costume and join in the fun!

Fall Basket Giveaway for the Homeless

October/November, 2024

As we approach the season of gratitude, we are partnering with Huff Helping Hands and preparing for our Fall Basket Giveaway, which will take place on November 23rd. This event aims to provide a warm and hearty Fall meal to homeless individuals and families in our community.

We hope to include in each basket traditional Thanksgiving foods such as turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce, and vegetables, along with essentials like hygiene products and warm blankets. We believe that everyone deserves to feel the warmth and comfort of the holiday season, and we are dedicated to ensuring that those in need are not forgotten.

To make this event a success, we are seeking donations of non-perishable food items, hygiene products, and warm clothing. If you can provide any support, please contact us.

Shining Star Christmas Program 

December 15, 2024

The holiday season is a time for celebration and joy, and our Shining Star Christmas Program aims to bring some extra sparkle to the lives of the children we serve. This special program will take place on December 14th and will include a festive party with gifts, games, and a visit from Santa Claus himself.

Each child will receive a gift tailored to their interests, ensuring that they feel valued and cherished. The event will also feature holiday crafts, music, and delicious treats to make the day unforgettable.

We are currently accepting donations of new toys, books, and gift cards to make this event special for every child.
